Play & Learn

This summer has been a summer with a lot of opportunity. I have had the opportunity to play against top college players, and  also learn from some of the best players in the world. My summer camp tour started with Chris Paul’s camp in Winston-Salem, NC, where CP was very interactive and teaching, even gave us some tricks which I added to my back pocket thanks Chris. After that I began the Nike Skills Academy trips starting in Chicago for Deron Williams camp. This camp was the top point guards and we got to work with the Amar’e Stoudemire’s camp with top Forwards. At this camp I learned a lot about ball screens, using them and defending them. After this camp was Lebron James camp, in Akron, Ohio.  It was basically time to put everything I had learned at Chris Paul, and Deron Williams camp into this one. Lebron camp had players from every position camp, and we were put through tough workouts and then played pickup games at night. All three of these camps were ran by some of the top trainers in the country and surrounded by some of the best basketball minds in the world. The biggest things I took  away from all these camps is playing the game at the pace I want to play at, and also always being in attack mode to make a play.

I want to give a shout-out to all the guards I’ve been around all summer!
